Two ways of looking at getting (and being) lost…
These are both ink, watercolor, and colored pencil. The lettering in the top picture was done by hand; the bottom text is courtesy of Photoshop.
This is a bigger deal than you might think, as I have the total opposite of a green thumb. Despite this, I keep trying to grow vegetables — a triumph of hope over experience, I guess. It paid off this time, as I managed (mostly by keeping far away from the plant!) to harvest a truly gorgeous eggplant. I almost couldn’t bear to cook it, but I finally gave in, after painting this. The picture’s ink, watercolor, and colored pencil. As for the eggplant, it became Pad Ma Kua, a Thai stir fry dish. Yum.
Illustration Friday has a new set-up, so it’s taken me a while to post this. (Also, it’s over 100 degrees here, and like these guys, all I want to do is sit back with a cool, refreshing drink!)
This is a version of an illustration I have at ImageZoo. It’s watercolor and colored pencil, with a bit of additional work in Photoshop.
